Last week, our students went out into their communities — exploring math and pattern at MoMath and the sights, sounds, and flavors of Little Italy! 🏙️

Tomorrow, they bring it all back home: transforming their own classrooms into plant nurseries, restaurants, gyms, and so much more, showcasing the communities they’ve built right here at Gillen Brewer.

Our very own school security guard, Kristian, gave the kids a special look into how he helps protect our GBS community every day. In addition to keeping us safe, Kristian gives some of the best high fives at GBS (see last pictures 2 and 3 for proof!) 💙

Wild times with the GBS Middle Schoolers! 🦒🐘 Earlier this week, these students took over the Bronx Zoo for an unforgettable day of exploring. From spotting majestic elephants and giraffes to watching the serene koi fish, it was non-stop fun from start to finish. But the absolute highlight? Riding the Wild Asia Monorail and getting a front-row seat to some incredible wildlife! 🍃📸
