We're lucky enough to get a little senior wisdom from an absolute gem, our sister, Hannah... "In these four years you have to learn to balance your responsibilities to others with your responsibility to yourself, to the person you want to become. It is hard, if not impossible, to do this without the support of those who will both celebrate and cry with you. For me those people have been my sisdters, and I have leaned on them like family in my highest moments and my lowest. Soon we won’t all live in a six-square block radius, but they have taught me enough about myself to make me confident that I’m ready for the real world, and that even in the moments when I’m not, I’ll always have someone on my side." 🌟

Sister spotlight: Xi Bovell CC’18 is majoring in Comparative Literature and Society and wrote her thesis on representations of blackness in 1980s French and British cinema. Before starting work at Facebook next Fall in San Francisco, she’ll be backpacking solo in Colombia, Peru and Bolivia. In her free time, she loves building things, going to dance shows in the city, and planning trips. So excited for you, Xi! 💕

We are thrilled to announce that our sister, Paige Lerman BC ‘18, will be heading to Melbourne, Australia on a Fulbright Scholarship! Paige will be furthering the anthropological research she's been conducting for the past two years on recovery-oriented mental health care reform. When she's not in the inpatient psychiatry unit (where her fieldwork will take place), Paige will be taking a masters’ course on transcultural mental health care and mentoring high schoolers. Aside from that, she's excited to explore Melbourne and see all that Australia has to offer! So excited for you, Paige!
