Principal Daniel Sharib ’96 wanted to come to Xaverian because, as he puts it, there was never really another option. Once aboard the Clipper ship, he too charted his own course – one rooted in service and education. Were it not for Mr. Sharib’s own Xaverian education, our Clipper ship might look very different today!

Just like Mr. Sharib, as well as the students we have highlighted throughout the day both in emails and on social media, so many Clippers have been provided a brighter and bolder path due to your generosity and belief in the Xaverian way.

Support Xaverian this Giving Tuesday to help chart the course for future Clippers - all gifts of $50 or more will receive limited edition Xaverian socks! Head over to https://www.xaverian.org/giving/giving-tuesday to make your gift today!

Justin Schwartz ‘24 knew that Xaverian had a great reputation and dreamed of playing hockey for the X. Once aboard the Clipper ship, he charted a completely different - and undeniably successful – course, most recently being named the Cross Country CHSAA City Champion, as well as being one of the premier distance runners in all of New York State.

Just like Justin, so many Clippers have been provided a brighter and bolder path due to your generosity and belief in the Xaverian way.

“May his holy soul be on the right side of God.”

After two years, our Pipe & Drum Corps. are set to march down 5th Avenue once more, this time with an angel on their shoulders. On the two year anniversary of his passing, Mr. Thomas Grenham ‘66, former principal, and the founder of our pipe band, would be proud to see his Clippers marching in his beloved St. Patrick’s Day parade once again. Each wear a patch with the translated Celtic quote above on their sweaters in memory of Mr. Grenham, who was so very proud to be Irish and undeniably as equally proud to be a Clipper.

Congratulations to this year's recipient of the Theodore James Ryken award, Dr. K!

The award is presented each year to a member of the community from each of the Xaverian Brothers Sponsored Schools to recognize individuals who exemplify the Xaverian values of humility, compassion, zeal, simplicity, and trust through their dedication and passionate commitment to serve their students and their fellow colleagues.

For the past 25 years, Dr. Krishnamurthy has earned the admiration and respect of her students and colleagues for living out the Gospel values and our Xaverian mission in her unique gentle, humble, and passionate way.

Let us all congratulate Dr. K!
