Another Amazing Buddy Walk in the Books! 💛💙

We’re so grateful to NDSS for bringing our community together for another fantastic Buddy Walk!

Our GiGi’s NYC community had a blast! We met so many wonderful people, reconnected with familiar faces, and enjoyed a great day celebrating our community.

25 years later we still remember.
We will always remember.

We remember the lives that were taken, the families who were changed forever, the heroes who ran toward danger, and the countless acts of courage, love, and kindness that emerged from unimaginable loss.

From our GiGi’s NYC family, we honor every life and every story touched by September 11th. May we continue to carry their memories in our hearts, hold one another a little closer, and never forget the strength and compassion that brought our city together.

We are thrilled to announce IREM Greater NY Chapter as the honoree of the GiGi’s Playhouse NYC 14th Annual Gala, Shoot for the Stars! ✨

For eight years, IREM has been a devoted partner in our mission to create a more accepting and inclusive world for individuals with Down syndrome and their families. Since launching its annual Clay Shoot in 2019, IREM and its incredible community of members and friends have generously contributed nearly $135,000 to GiGi’s NYC.

Year after year, IREM has turned partnership into meaningful impact, and we are honored to celebrate them this October. đź’«

It’s official we’ve signed the lease and we’re doubling our space… again! 🏠💙💛

This incredible growth means we’ll finally have the opportunity to offer multiple programs at the same time, allowing us to reach even more individuals with Down syndrome and their families. We are so excited for what this next chapter means for our community!

Do you have a child with Down syndrome ages 7–13 and need fun, engaging activities to do this week?

GiGi’s Playhouse NYC had a few last-minute cancellations, and we now have a limited number of spots available!

✨ This Week’s Theme: “What Is Art?” ✨

Get ready for an exciting week filled with creativity, exploration, and fun, including:

🏛️ A trip to The Metropolitan Museum of Art (The Met)
🎭 A visit to the Apollo Theater
🖼️ A trip to The Museum of Modern Art (MoMA)
🎨 Hands-on art activities exploring different mediums
🌟 And we’ll wrap up the week with a Talent Show on Friday!

⏰ 10:00 AM–3:00 PM
👨‍👩‍👧 Children must be accompanied by a parent or caregiver.

What is Art ?
During our summer programs our participants visited The Museum of Modern Art (MoMA), The Apollo Theater, and The Metropolitan Museum of Art (The Met), where they experienced art in many different forms and reflected on the question: “What is art?” Through engaging conversations, creative exploration, and shared experiences, participants discovered that art can inspire, connect, and help us express who we are.
