If you are interested in applying for the Guttman Transfer Scholarship, please note that there are two application cycles each year. You must apply before you start senior college. If you will start senior college in the Spring, you can expect to apply between August and early October. If you will start senior college in the Fall, you can expect to apply between January and early March. Please visit our website at

Guttman Transfer Scholarship – The City University of New York The Greatest Urban University in the World

On October 17, 2017 , we honored the Spring 2017 and Fall 2017 Guttman Scholars with an evening reception, graciously hosted by the Borough of Manhattan Community College in the Richard Harris Terrace. The program featured members of the Stella and Charles Guttman Foundation, Provost Karrin Wilks and BMCC President Antonio Perez, as well as poignant words from two current Guttman Scholars. Students celebrated their accomplishments with Chancellor James B. Milliken, Executive Vice Chancellor and University Provost Vita Rabinowitz, representatives from their Community and Senior colleges, friends and family members.

On September 22, 2016, we honored the Spring 2016 and Fall 2016 Guttman Scholars with an awards ceremony at The CUNY Graduate Center's Proshansky Auditorium. The program featured members of the Stella and Charles Guttman Foundation, a student panel, and a revised video about the scholarship program.

A reception followed, where students celebrated their accomplishments with Chancellor James B. Milliken, Executive Vice Chancellor and University Provost Vita Rabinowitz, representatives from their Community and Senior colleges, friends and family members.
