YUCA Arts Program

La Central YMCA in the South Bronx is more than just a state of the art gym, it’s part of a broader, intentional effort to rebuild community infrastructure in one of NYC’s historically underserved areas.

The YMCA provides after-school programs, mentorship and leadership development, job training and career readiness programs. This is critical in a neighborhood where opportunity gaps exist. La Central becomes a place where young people don’t just stay occupied, they build direction, discipline, and possibility.

YUCA is proud to be a community partner and grateful to the Bronx chapter for supporting our classes by allowing our team to screen print their merch. Moreover, YUCA has also brought our curriculum of art programming to their location, providing local teens at the Y with Design, Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator training.

We salute the amazing work this YMCA is doing, and thankful for the opportunity to serve Bronx youth.

Every Friday for 8 weeks, you’ll learn how to turn your designs into wearable art, master advanced printing techniques, and discover the basics of launching your own screen printing business. At its core, the MetroLALSA conference is: A large gathering and training space for the Latino legal community.

It’s a pipeline, a network, and a movement that helps Latino students become lawyers—and helps those lawyers go back and serve their communities.

As the conference kicks off today, we want to extend our sincere thanks to MetroLALSA for trusting YUCA to design and print the conference materials. It’s an honor to contribute to a movement that uplifts the Latino community while reaching far beyond—helping to make this city and country more equitable and inclusive, and moving the United States toward a future where all people are protected and better served!

We’re so thankful for everything Bronx Music Hall does to uplift and celebrate the Bronx. Their dedication to showcasing the borough’s incredible musical talent and diversity is truly inspiring, it reminds us just how vibrant and powerful our community is. Through their programming and presence, they keep the Bronx’s cultural heartbeat alive while giving local artists the space to shine and be appreciated.

We also want to send a huge thank you the Executive Director Elena Martinez and her amazing staff for trusting YUCA with their brand and letting us produce their merchandise. It means so much to play a part in bringing their vision to life.

We’re excited about what’s ahead and look forward to continuing this partnership, working together on projects and events that keep building, celebrating, and investing in our Bronx community.

Grateful that 30 YUCA participants received laptops on Saturday, made possible through an award we received this weekend from the Bronx Community Foundation.

We’re deeply thankful to their incredible team, especially Margaret Della and their amazing new Executive Director, LaToya Williams-Belfort, for their support and commitment to the Bronx.

This investment will make a real difference for our young people, helping them access tools they need to learn, create, and grow. We look forward to joining forces in the future to do even more incredible things for the Bronx community!
