Claiming meals for school-age children
a. CACFP Sponsors can claim meals served to school-age children who are attending school virtually in childcare settings through June 30, 2021. Virtual or remote learning days are days when children are not learning in-person at the school.
Children are expected to work on their lessons in a location other than the school.
b. Centers and day care home providers may claim two meals and one snack, or two snacks and one meal per child per day.
II. Integrity Requirements
a. Students enrolled in both school and childcare may receive meals through multiple Child Nutrition Programs. However, program integrity must be maintained.
b. MEALS CANNOT BE CLAIMED THRUGH CACFP IF MEALS ARE BROUGHT FROM PARENT HOME OR PROVIDED BY THE LOCAL SCHOOL.
c. Meals and snacks must meet CACFP meal pattern requirements.
d. Income eligibility applications must be maintained for centers and Tier I day care home providers’ own children that want to claim meals served on remote learning days. CACFP will notify Sponsors if USDA offers additional flexibility for collecting income eligibility applications.
Reclamar comidas para niños en edad escolar
a. Los patrocinadores de CACFP pueden reclamar las comidas servidas a los niños en edad escolar que asisten escuela virtualmente en entornos de cuidado infantil hasta el 30 de junio de 2021. Virtual o remota los días de aprendizaje son días en los que los niños no están aprendiendo en persona en la escuela. Se espera que los niños trabajen en sus lecciones en un lugar que no sea la escuela.
b. Los centros y los proveedores de cuidado infantil en el hogar pueden reclamar dos comidas y un refrigerio, o dos bocadillos y una comida por niño por día.
Requisitos de integridad
a. Los estudiantes inscritos tanto en la escuela como en la guardería pueden recibir comidas a través de multiples Programas de nutrición infantil. Sin embargo, se debe mantener la integridad del programa.
b. LAS COMIDAS NO SE PUEDEN RECLAMAR A TRAVÉS DEL CACFP SI LAS COMIDAS SE TRAEN DE CASA O PROPORCIONADA POR LA ESCUELA LOCAL.
C. Las comidas y refrigerios deben cumplir con los requisitos del patrón de comidas del CACFP.
d. Las proveedores del hogar que desean reclamar comidas para sus hijos en aprendizaje remote tienen que llenar la hoja de eligibilidad de ingreso. CACFP notificará a los patrocinadores si el USDA ofrece flexibilidades adicionales para recolectar aplicaciones de elegibilidad de ingresos
