What a beautiful day at our G*I Walkathon 2026! It was wonderful seeing our students, parents, and faculty walking together in such a strong spirit of community and school pride. A special thank you to our PTO for their generosity, support, snacks, and refreshments throughout the day.

We also proudly recognize our 8th Grade students, Isabella, Hazlyn, & Alex, for their creatively designed Walkathon t-shirt featuring the Parthenon and the meaningful slogan, “Walking in the Footsteps of Greatness,” a reflection of the excellence, character, and tradition that define a G*I student.

To conclude this special day, we were very proud to announce the Class of 2026 Valedictorian, Alexandros Gatsios and Salutatorian, Hazlyn Vargas. Congratulations!✨

The Evening of the Arts was truly a celebration of art, talent, creativity, imagination, and student expression. It was wonderful to see our school community come together to support and admire the incredible work and performances of our students. ✨ A very special thank you to Ms. Jessica Oliveira for her exceptional work in organizing and showcasing the beautiful artwork of our students in Grades K - 5. We thank Ms. Jessica for encouraging and inspiring our young artists to bring their ideas and creativity to life through Art.  We also extend our sincere gratitude to Mr. Mikolinacz and his talented Drama Club members for their wonderful production, A Brief Telling of Oz, which delighted all in attendance. We extend our sincere appreciation to Mrs. Coscia and our Fourth Grade students for their beautifully presented Landform projects, which reflected great creativity and hard work.

Our 3K, 4K, Kindergarten, 1st Grade, and 2nd Grade students had a wonderful and memorable experience during our FDNY Fire Truck visit! 🚒

Students had the opportunity to meet real firefighters, explore the fire truck up close, meet the firehouse dog, try on firefighter helmets, and learn about the important work our firefighters do to keep our communities safe. It was an exciting, hands-on experience our students will never forget. A very special thank you to the FDNY, Mr. & Mrs. Danny Massa, and to Mrs. Qevani for providing our students with this incredible opportunity and educational experience. ❤️🚒

Our G*I students in grades 5–8 had an incredible educational and interactive experience at the International Museum of Mathematics!

A heartfelt thank you to our Dean of Students, Mrs. Panagiota Katergaris, for organizing this engaging and enriching trip for our students. Special thanks as well to our wonderful teachers, Mr. Anthony Mikolinacz, Ms. Marilena Pantziri, & Mr. Stavros Kilimitzoglou for accompanying and supervising our students throughout the day.

During their visit, students attended the fascinating seminar “Graph Theory: Bridging the Map,” where they were introduced to graph theory through the famous Seven Bridges of Königsberg problem. Working collaboratively with classmates, students explored the mathematics behind constructing paths on graphs while discovering both classical mathematical challenges and problems that remain unsolved even today.

We are so proud of our students for embracing opportunities that make learning meaningful, engaging, and fun while continuing G*I’s tradition of academic excellence. 💙math
