🌎 Celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month at RSA! 🍽️

RSA Family Engagement Recipe Book

Dear RSA Families,

In celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, we are excited to bring our school community together through something that connects generations, cultures, and families — FOOD!

We invite RSA families to share a favorite family recipe that represents your Hispanic/Latino heritage, culture, traditions, or simply a dish that holds a special place in your family.

Recipes will be collected to create our very own RSA Family Engagement Hispanic Heritage Recipe Book! 📖❤️

Families are encouraged to submit:

* 🍲 Name of the dish
* 🥑 Ingredients
* 👩🏽‍🍳 Cooking instructions
* 🌎 Country or culture the recipe represents
* ❤️ A short story about why the recipe is special to your family
* 📸 A photo of the finished dish or your family preparing it (optional)

Recipes can be traditional dishes passed down through generations or newer family favorites. Abuela’s secret recipe, Dad’s favorite dish, Mom’s Sunday dinner, or something your child loves helping prepare — we want them all!

Our goal is to celebrate the beautiful cultures represented throughout our RSA community while giving families an opportunity to learn about one another through food and tradition.

We are excited to welcome you and your family for the upcoming school year and look forward to partnering with you throughout your child’s educational journey.

As we prepare for the new school year, we want to inform you that our school building is currently undergoing construction. While these improvements will provide an enhanced learning environment for our students, they temporarily limit our ability to host visitors in the building.
Once construction is complete and we regain access to the building, we will schedule an in-person orientation for all incoming families. This will be a wonderful opportunity to tour the school, meet our staff, and become familiar with our learning environment.

In the meantime, we invite you to join us for a virtual Welcome Meeting via Zoom, where we will answer your questions, address any concerns, and share important information to help your family prepare for the school year. During this meeting, you will have the opportunity to meet our Principal, Assistant Principal, and Parent Coordinator, who are eager to welcome you and support your transition into our school community.

On Tuesday, June 9, RSA proudly celebrated our 6th and 7th grade scholars at our End-of-Year Awards Ceremony! 🎉

We recognized the hard work, growth, achievements, and accomplishments our scholars have made throughout the school year. It was truly inspiring to see so many students honored for their dedication and success.

A heartfelt thank you to all of the parents, families, and loved ones who joined us to celebrate this special occasion. Your support means the world to our scholars. And thank you to the entire RSA community for continuously encouraging, uplifting, and believing in our students. Congratulations to all of our award recipients, we are so proud of you! 💙💛
