Humans of Academy of American Studies

Get excited for Homecoming! This year homecoming will be held on December 15th from 5-8PM in the Gym. The theme is Disco Dazzle. The dress code will be formal, stilettos will not be allowed. You can purchase your ticket for $10 from a student government member or from room 111. Seniors will be able to run for King or Queen. Juniors, Sophomores and Freshmen can run for prince or princess. If you choose to run, you will need a total of 50 signatures from students in your grade, you can receive nomination forms in room 111.

Watch out for an email with the link to attend a required Zoom meeting (December 11 at 6pm) to receive important information about how you can participate in the next international trips!

Spring Break 2025 (April) - Germany and Eastern Europe

Thank you to all those who participated in Academy’s Annual Beach Clean Up in honor of Ms. Kassirer. The turnout was the biggest to date at 150+ students, who joined her family at Coney Island Beach this Saturday.

This November, please join AAS in celebrating Native American Heritage Month! Use this month to research and appreciate Native American culture and traditions. Be on the lookout for posters of influential Native American individuals displayed around the school!

On November 6th, we are honoring veterans by writing them thank you letters. Please join us for 2 hours of community service as we thank them for all of their sacrifices.
