NYC Global Center was established in 2022 by a team of educators with more than 20 years of teaching and administrative experience. From the beginning, it was clear that a large number of students needed to improve both their spoken and written, English-language skills. Field trip days are some of our favorite days at NYC Global! 🌏

This week, students brought their Travel & Tourism topic to life — starting with authentic paella at Socarrat, then a Roosevelt Island Tram ride to explore a part of the city many had never seen, even after years of living here.

Laughter, tree-hugging, dancing, and a lot of positive energy. Learning English isn't just about the classroom — it's about building confidence and community in the city our students now call home. 💛

✨ Meet Our Faculty: Brigitta Hajduk! ✨

A proud New Yorker for nearly 38 years, Brigitta brings a deep love of language and connection to her ESL classrooms! 🗽💛

As a lifelong word-lover, Brigitta is always expanding her own vocabulary. A true polyglot, she speaks Hungarian natively, knows some Spanish, and is currently tackling Japanese! 🇯🇵🇪🇸

Equipped with a BA in Psychology, a TESOL certificate from The New School, and a BPSS certification, Brigitta’s true passion is helping students find their unique voice and connect with the world around them. 🌍🗣️

When she isn't teaching, you can find her reading, hiking, trying out new recipes, or taking quiet walks through cemeteries. 🥾📚🥘
