Former Principal Sana Q Nasser has won awards for rebuilding the school into one with a "small-school feel, and higher graduation rates" (NY Post, Sept 2011). With top-notch gymnasiums, a newly-renovated swimming pool, newly-renovated planetarium and 6 specialized career-themed academies, we provide all of the facilities and opportunities normally only found in suburban schools.

In honor of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, our Truman High School community came together to spread hope and show support. Today, students and staff handed out gold pins, lanyards, and wristbands to bring awareness to young fighters and their families. Every gold ribbon worn in our hallways represents strength, unity, and hope. 💛

Key reminders to keep in mind:
🚫 Large tech like headphones, iPads, and computers must be kept at home.
📱 Cellphones must be sealed in your clear, Zip-Loc style bag and handed in immediately upon arrival in the morning.
🎒 These bags will be returned to you during 8th-period classes.

Please note: If you forget your required storage bag, your phone will be held securely and returned ONLY at 3:30 PM.
