Tomorrow 06/17 @ 1 PM *VIRTUAL*- RSVP for training to become a counselor for the Small Claims Court Action Center, a free legal information hotline run by NYPIRG where we help guide people through consumer issues and how to file a case in court. The training is only 1 hour, and you only need to attend one training session. We hope to see you tomorrow!!

Attention Brooklyn College community!! Today, at 6:00 PM, transit advocates, local elected officials, workers, and bus riders will gather at Flatbush and Nostrand to demand faster and more reliable bus service on Flatbush Avenue. Organized by Riders Alliance and community partners, the rally will call on the city to follow through on long-promised bus improvements and prioritize the needs of daily riders.

On Thursday, May 14th, the New York Public Interest Research Group is hosting a “SEWstainability”, Upcycling Event to help students learn ways to repair and restyle damaged or unworn clothing. We want to bring awareness to textile pollution caused by the fast fashion industry and current consumer trends. Join us to try different methods that reduce waste, help save money, and practical new skills you can use in your everyday life. We hope to see you all there!

We are looking for help from the Brooklyn College community with donations on behalf of our graduating seniors. Many students are unable to walk across the commencement stage this year due to various complications. Help us spread the word that we are accepting caps, gowns, and other items students might need for commencement until the evening of 05/27. Thank you!
