Community Works and Everyday Explorers AmeriCorps members serving in after-school programs throughout New York State.
AmeriCorps is a federally funded volunteer program that gives people a chance to serve their communities while earning money for college tuition or to repay student loans. TASC trains and supports AmeriCorps members to work in New York City after-school programs, and to help kids plan and execute community projects. Community service is a vital component of a comprehensive after-school program. More than 2,400 TASC AmeriCorps members have worked in after-school programs since 2000.

The Community Works and Everyday Explorers term of service is coming to a end soon. Be sure you know how many hours you have completed and what your plan is to complete them after your program stops serving kids. Don't lose out on your education award for a few hours of service!!!
