Please be advised that due to the weather conditions accompanying the winter blizzard and clean up/ travel conditions, the King’s Academy and all classes WILL BE closed on Tuesday, February 24, 2026.
Part of our concern is the safety of staff and students with the navigation of traffic, street, transit and sidewalks the decision to remain closed was made by the Pastor despite the mayors decision to keep nyc public schools open, as a private institution the Pastor determined it would be best to remain closed for one more day.

We want to ensure that advance warnings are given, so that alternate childcare arrangements can be made. We will update as the news reports update on the conditions.

The normal class schedule are expected to resume for all grades on Wednesday, February 25, 2026.

With the release of the mayors conference on NYC public school closures, the King’s Academy for the safety of staff and students will follow suit and fully close as well.
There will information about Tuesday as the state of the storm progresses.

Please be advised that due to the weather conditions accompanying the upcoming winter storm this weekend (12-26 inches accumulation expected), the King’s Academy and all classes WILL BE closed on Monday, February 23, 2026.

We want to ensure that advance warnings are given, so that alternate childcare arrangements can be made. We will update as the news reports update on the conditions.

The normal class schedule are expected to resume for all grades on Tuesday, February 24, 2026. We will update as the storm progresses and situations are assessed.

The King's Academy will be opening for the 2023/2024 academic year on Wednesday, September 6, 2023.

We send a hearty welcome back to all our returning students. We ask that you fill out the enrollment forms prior to entry of the building. These forms can be found on our website thekingsacademy.webs.com. through the resources link. Documents can be emailed to [email protected] or faxed to 917-675-6995.

The same rules and guidelines for covid will be in place this academic year. Masks must be worn by all students at all times. Social distancing will be in place at all times.

All students must have a recent negative PCR covid test to be allowed entry to the building.

Please review the rules for the 2021/2022 academic year in your class dojo message history as these rules will also be in place for this year.

All contact info, immunization forms and requirements must be completed by the end of September to maintain enrollment.

Tuition is due on the 1st academic day of each month. Late fees will be imposed on any late payments.

Praise Jesus, God is the Mighty Provider and my Salvation!!

The King’s Academy will hold its delayed Graduation Ceremony on Friday, July 15, 2022.

We ask that all student arrive by 9 am, as well will begin filming at 10 am. We plan to be finished by 1pm and will host a short after party for students ending at 4pm.

Please make sure they have a change of street clothing.

We will hold ceremony rehearsals on Wednesday, July 13 and Thursday, July 14. For this purpose we will be open between the hours of 8 am - 1pm those 2 days.

We look forward to being able to finally have our students showcase their accomplishments of the year!!!

Just a reminder that the King’s Academy will be closed this Monday, October 11, 2021 through Tuesday, October 19, 2021 as we celebrate our religious holiday of The Feast of Tabernacles. We will reopen on Wednesday, October 20, 2021.

AS WE KNOW THE MAYOR HAS CLOSED DOWN ALL PUBLIC SCHOOLS FOR THE NEXT FEW WEEKS AT LEAST. WHILE THIS MANDATE DOES NOT DIRECTLY APPLY TO PRIVATE SCHOOLS AT THIS TIME, IT HAS BEEN STRONGLY SUGGESTED THAT WE CLOSE FOR THE 2 DAYS WE ARE OPEN NEXT WEEK AS WELL.

AFTER CONSIDERING THE MATTER AND DISCUSSING IT WITH OUR PASTOR, WE HAVE COME TO THE CONCLUSION TO CLOSE THE KING'S ACADEMY FOR MONDAY AND TUESDAY, NOVMEBER 23 & 24 IN ADDITION TO THE NORMAL SCHEDULED THANKSGIVING BREAK.

WE NEVER TAKE CLOSURES AS A LIGHT MATTER, AND UNDERSTAND THE DIFFICULTIES IT PLACES ON PARENTS, AS IT AFFECTS US AS WELL.
AS A PRIVATE/RELIGIOUS SCHOOL WE BEAR GREATER SCRUTINY/TARGETING FROM THE NYC D.O.E. WHEN WE ARE ABLE TO MAINTAIN AN OPEN STATUS AS THEY MUST CLOSE.
THIS CLOSURE IS TO HELP ENSURE THAT AFTER THE THANKSGIVING BREAK WE ARE ABLE TO OPEN WITH NO PROBLEMS.
AN ADDED BONUS IT THAT IT WILL ALLOW US TO SCHEDULE AN EXTRA DEEP CLEANING AND DISINFECTING OF OUR FACILITIES.

THE PARENT/TEACHER CONFERENCES WILL TAKE PLACE AFTER THE THANKSGIVING BREAK, AND WILL BE CALL IN ONLY (212) 348-7380. THESE CALLS WILL BE AT YOUR CONVENIENCE, NOVEMBER 30 & DECEMBER 1, BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 8AM - 3PM. PLEASE KEEP IN MIND EACH CONFERENCE IS LIMITED TO A MAXIMUM OF 20 MINUTES.

IT ALSO BEARS NOTIFYING THAT AS THE COVID #'S RISE, WE WILL SOON BE REQUIRED BY THE NYC D.O.E. TO HAVE THE STUDENTS TESTED FOR COVID. PLEASE START LOOKING INTO YOUR LOCAL TESTING SITES, AS WE DO NOT DO THIS ON PREMISE AND AS STATED WILL EVENTUALLY BE NEEDED TO ALLOW ENTRY IN THE SCHOOL. AS WE ARE INFORMED MORE ABOUT THIS WE WILL RELAY THE INFO TO YOU.
