Ellevate Network About Ellevate

We believe women are awesome. We believe that networking and lifelong learning are keys to success.

Ellevate Network is certified as a Women’s Business Enterprise by the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC), the nation’s largest third-party certifier of the businesses owned and operated by women in the U.S. We believe women are still a largely untapped resource in the business world and in society at large – and that it’s time to change that. And we believe that by promoting netw

orking and education for professional women, working with companies and investors to help them see the opportunity, and by truly investing in our women- we can be an active and positive part of that change. Ellevate is a global professional women’s network dedicated to these beliefs and to the economic engagement of women worldwide. The most expansive and diverse network of its kind, our community is made up of successful, motivated and passionate professional women from various industries and walks of life with one common belief – that investing in themselves and in other women is good business. Our members are groundbreakers, thought leaders, CEOs, entrepreneurs, board members, and visionaries. They are alumnae and students of some of the world’s leading academic institutions. Some are at the top of their fields, and others are on their way. With 34,000 members in 130 countries, our community is large and growing by the day. Join Us
What we do
We're proud to invest in the professional and economic success and engagement of women through the power of our network as well as through our partnerships with corporations and like-minded organizations around the world. Fortune 500 companies with the highest percentages of women on their boards of directors outperformed those with the least by 53% on return on equity, 42% on return on sales and a whopping 66% on return on invested capital. Yet women account for only 16% of the boards of Fortune Global 200 companies. Ellevate helps women succeed in two ways:

Connect – We’ve built a strong community of accomplished women committed to investing in themselves and other women, and we’re dedicated to bringing more women together to network and achieve their goals. Learn – We’re committed to providing unique content, resources and tools to help women succeed in both work and life.

Waiting to feel confident before you start? That is not how it works.

Confidence is a byproduct of taking action, not a prerequisite for it. Even a small step creates momentum, and momentum creates clarity. Sometimes you just have to start driving before the GPS kicks in.

Executive coach Cheri Gregov joined us for a Self Ellevation Roundtable on taking charge of your career, and this is exactly the kind of insight she brought to the table. The women who move forward are not the ones who have it all figured out. They are the ones who take the step anyway.

Watch the full roundtable to hear Cheri’s three essential steps for taking charge of your career.

Dolly Parton never let anyone define what she was allowed to be. She was a singer, a songwriter, an actress, a comedian, a philanthropist, and an entrepreneur who built an empire entirely on her own terms. When people tried to put her in a box, she ignored them and kept going anyway.

That is the kind of ambition we celebrate at Ellevate. The kind that does not ask for permission, does not shrink to fit, and does not stop at one thing.

Thank you, Dolly. 🤍

Women’s Equality Day exists because a group of women refused to stop meeting.

The 19th Amendment was certified on August 26, 1920 — 72 years after a few hundred people gathered at Seneca Falls and put in writing what they wanted.

Worth sitting with: the amendment barred voting discrimination by s*x, but many women of color didn’t gain full access until the Voting Rights Act of 1965.

None of that happened alone.

Tag a woman who’s in your corner. Then tell her why.

845,000 women have left the U.S. labor force since January. In July, women accounted for the entire decline.
We’re posting this because a network matters most when the market gets harder to navigate alone.

If you’re job searching, drop one thing that’s actually working. Someone here needs it.

Your degree builds your expertise. Your network builds your opportunities. The fastest careers are powered by both.
Advancing women in finance takes both world-class education and a powerful network. That’s why Ellevate Network is proud to partner with Bentley University’s McCallum Graduate School of Business.

Bentley University offers flexible, top-ranked graduate degrees in finance, while Ellevate provides the mentorship, sponsorship, and community to turn that education into opportunity.

Let’s retire the idea that burnout means you’re bad at self-care.

You can journal, meditate, and time-block perfectly and still be exhausted — because the causes usually aren’t on your to-do list. They’re underneath it.

Christine Arylo’s research on women and overwhelm points to three roots: systems designed for productivity over sustainability, our acceptance of those systems as fixed, and internal programming that says our needs come last.

Swipe for the breakdown — then tell us in the comments: 1 to 5, how full is your cup this week?

Your manager has their own agenda. Your reports won’t tell you everything. So who hears your big ideas? 👀

For most of us: nobody. And that’s a career problem, not just a lonely one.

The data: women who were both well-connected AND had a close inner circle of trusted women landed roles 2.5x higher in pay and authority (Yang, Chawla & Uzzi, published in PNAS). The winning combo isn’t network OR inner circle. It’s both.

Your network isn’t just the people above you. It’s the women beside you. 💪

Ellevate gives you the whole package — a global community of thousands, plus your Squad: the small group that becomes your sounding board.
