🌤️ Ms. Ramirez’s Science class headed outdoors on a trip to Central Park. Students transformed into field biologists for a "Science Scavenger Hunt," tracking down hidden wildlife habitats and identifying plant species throughout the park.
🧺 Afterwards, students celebrated with a picnic followed by field games out in the sun. One student shared, “I loved exploring the park! It’s huge and I had never been to those spots before!”

⏰ Several students at Lower East Side Prep recently completed their internship hours for the Training Opportunities Program (TOP) administered by the Manhattan Transition & College Access Center.
🩵 This paid work-based learning experience allows students to develop post secondary vocational skills aligned to their goals and receive a stipend upon completion. One intern stated, “being a part of TOP is the extra motivation I needed to get to school everyday because people depended on me to do my job.”
🎉 Congratulations to the students on this very special accomplishment!
