LEDA has been such a resounding success for two decades that you might be wondering: what's our secret? From her pivotal role as LEDA's Board Chair to her extensive academic achievements – including an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School, Master in Public Administration from Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government, and a Master of Political Science and Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and International Relations from Boston University – along with over 30 years of experience in nonprofit and political leadership, Ilana has had the privilege of working on a range of entrepreneurial ventures and policy issues. Her journey is marked by her dedication to driving change and fostering innovation, and her influence truly has no bounds.

Born in the Bronx to Ghanaian immigrants, Philomina’s journey is one marked throughout by a sustained dedication to innovation, an entrepreneurial spirit, and an ability to influence and empower the communities around her. As LEDA’s inaugural Yoseloff Scholar, Philomina matriculated at and graduated from Princeton University before founding KIN Apparel. Her success has already garnered recognition from places like Shark Tank and Forbes’ 30 Under 30, and she continues to lead and grow the company today.
