THANK YOU to our amazing freshmen for joining us at the first 2026–27 Tech Connects meeting! 💛🖤

It was wonderful to see so many of our newest Tech students come together to make connections, have some fun, and begin building their place in the SITHS community.

A special thank you to our outstanding upperclassmen who served as T.C.B.s, Tech Connects Buddies, for helping welcome, guide, and support our freshmen. Your leadership, kindness, and school spirit helped make the event such a great success.

And a huge shout-out to Ms. Ferrigno, our Tech Connects Faculty Advisor, whose leadership and coordination brought the program to life, along with the incredible faculty and staff members who helped organize, supervise, support, and run the event. It truly takes a Tech village. 💛

From games and refreshments to new friendships and meaningful connections, this was a terrific start to the year.

09/11/2026

Today marks the 25th anniversary of September 11, 2001, a day that forever changed New York City, our nation, and so many lives within our own community.

For our students, September 11 is history. You were not yet born. You know the date, the images, and the facts. But today, we want you to understand the magnitude of that day through something more personal: the eyes, memories, and voices of the faculty and staff you see every day here at Staten Island Technical High School.

We asked them two questions: Where were you on the morning of September 11, 2001? And how have the events of that day shaped your perspective ever since?

Their answers became the remembrance posters you see in this video, and throughout our school, in the cafeteria and on every floor of the building. Today, we encourage you to stop, take a few moments, and read their stories.

You’ll find memories of classrooms and commutes, families waiting for phone calls, first responders running toward danger, fear and loss, but also courage, compassion, service, and extraordinary humanity.

Twenty-five years later, remembrance is more than looking backward. It is carrying those lessons forward.

Value the people around you. Choose kindness over division. Serve when others need you. Stand together.

We remember those we lost. We honor those who served. And together, we carry their courage, their humanity, and their hope into the future.

We remember. We honor. We never forget.

It's almost Welcome Back Time, Staten Island Tech-A-Maniacs! 🖤💛

We’re eagerly preparing for the return of our students and can’t wait to welcome everyone back to the halls of SITHS.

This year, we’re excited to showcase what’s new, what’s rejuvenated, and what’s old-school, but our-school as part of the Staten Island Technical High School experience. Some things evolve, some things get a fresh coat of paint, and some traditions are simply too good to mess with.

Our updated SITHS Landing Page is now live and ready to explore with all the 1st Day & Week festivities and schedule:

Looking forward to another incredible year together!

The fun begins on Thursday, September 10th.
