Though we’re sad to see John and Paul move to Staten Island and leave our day habs, we had a great time being together and celebrating our friendship. We will miss them but know we will stay in touch - once you’re part of GEC, it’s forever!

Hope Morrison day Hab had a busy month getting the backyard ready for spring with some gorgeous planter boxes, feasting at Medieval Times, and hitting all the games at Dave and Buster! Smiles for days!!!😎😁😎😁

Last week, GEC’s preschool had an amazing puppet themed art show featuring works done by our budding artists. Produced by James Bonavita, the colorful displays showcased the children’s creativity and self expression, developed their fine motor skills and focus, and encouraged social interaction and storytelling. Wonderful work done by the children and staff who helped them!

On May 16, two dozen coworkers from the GEC Preschool participated in the Mindful Walk for Wellness across the Brooklyn Bridge. This walk was organized by the Fanying Buddhist Temple with a total of 1,000 people in attendance at this peaceful event. Preschool staff represented Autism Speaks during the walk. Since 2005, Autism Speaks has been providing resources and support for autistic people and their families. The Fanying Buddhist Temple made a charitable donation to this great cause.
Alice Lee, an occupational therapist at the Preschool, was proud to represent Autism Speaks since most of the students she helps are on the spectrum. Suzhen Chen, a teacher at the Preschool, was also one of the event organizers.
