To celebrate Earth Day, this past week‘s theme was centered around ”花“（flower），开花（blossom），爆米花（popcorn），草（grass）. To learn the Chinese word”爆米花“（popcorn），which include the 花（flower），we decorated a cherry blossom tree using popcorn dipped in paint. 🌸

HGL ART Class- ✨ Step into the world of fashion design with our young creators! ✂️👗

From selecting fabrics to sketching their very own looks, our children experienced what it’s like to be real fashion designers. 💡

They kicked things off by watching and critiquing a real kids’ fashion show—choosing their favorite outfits and breaking them down to discover their own unique style, from patterns to cuts. 🎨

Next, they explored a wide range of fabrics—think leather, lace, and bold cheetah prints—before selecting their favorites to begin designing. 🧵

The final creations? A beautiful reflection of each child’s personality, imagination, and creativity. 🌟

We’re so happy to see the children back at school after spring break! 📚 Ready for a great rest of the term!

This week the theme of the Mandarin class was shapes, we learned to read ,listen, and speak the Mandarin words for 三角形（triangle），正方形（square），长方形（rectangle），and 圆形（circle）. We played related games, practiced writing and brushed up on classic Chinese culture songs/poems.
