Moving Forward Together: Working Toward Consensus on Measurable Outcomes for Festival Health

In this 2.5 hour workshop, attendees with a strong commitment to reducing harms at special events in general, and music festivals in particular, will join forces. Attendees with expertise in festival health (i.e., health promotion, illness/injury prevention, harm reduction, and mental health) will work together to generate a draft document that will describe and briefly explain a concise set of key performance indicators. This draft document will serve to further unite key organizations and individuals who work in this field, and will help us, as a community, articulate the important work that gets done, and the impact of that work in relation to mitigating harms for festival attendees, It is hoped that this draft document will also help us set the direction for the further evolution of festival health initiatives.
