Does it make a difference where you went to medical school to practice in the United States? The answer is a definite "NOOOOO!" The real questions you should have yourself are:
1. Why do you want to be a physician?
2. What makes you want to practice in the United States?
3. Exactly, how much do you think you'll make as a Medical Doctor In the U.S.?
4. How much will pursuing a medical degree cost you ?
5. How long will it take you to pursue a medical career?
6. Describe what the average day of an MD entails?
7. What specialty are you interested in and what do you think goes into becoming that?
8. What's the lifestyle of a Dr with your chosen specialty like?
9. How does your idea of a happy lifestyle compare with that of the average MD?

Whether you’re visiting Spain on pleasure or business, it can take a few seconds to get sick and need a good physician. Being sick in a foreign country can cost more than the price of going to a physician who can help. Before you go to Barcelona, enroll in emergency health insurance, and enroll in a plan for a concierge MD to handle your basic needs, referrals to a specialist all at a prepaid subscription to one of our physicians. The number of services is too numerous to list. Just describe your needs and see if you’d benefit!

Be sure you watch this, and please don’t say you want to be a doctor so you can help people!
Doctor vs Plumber: Which person is WEALTHIER at Age 42

Fact- > The cost of a your medical education goes beyond tuition, room & board, books and the “necessities” of practicing medicine.
There’s no reason to buy expensive stethoscopes, and various gear you’re led to think is better than the no-name medical instruments.
A complete set of required medical instruments can be purchased right here for $75 + postage and handling. This is especially a good deal if you’re attending a school in the Caribbean where the student book school is the only game in town.

Be honest with yourself. Do you think being an md is going to gain you respect, the right to treat patients as you have been taught? Have a decent home, a nice car and the time and money to do nice things at your leisure? No! You more than likely won’t be in a ever see the amount of money I once made in private practice. You’ll be salaried with probably barely enough to survive if you live in a city where the cost of living is relatively high. There’s people in their 60’s still working hard to pay off their student loans. In many cases, going to medical school can be the biggest mistake of your life. Read this article. If you want to always be on alert to read, study, and serve with no decent compensation, then go to be a doctor. I know more people quitting than you’d believe, because of greedy, nasty & disrespectful administrators, nurses who try to tell you your job, administrators thinking they own you. You’ll regret it, bc nobody really believes it could happen to them!

Now to the question you may be asked during a medical school interview.
“Aside from being someone who wants to understand the functioning of the human body, do you think you could be happy working 12 hour days, doing call late into your adult years, giving up years of income that you may now ever recoup, and not ever getting the financial rewards that doctors have been receiving for as long as we can remember? Would you be happy with enormous student loans where there’s a likelihood that you may never be able to afford a somewhat decent life, maybe a rental way outside of town, no car, public transportation, no respect, no freedoms as doctors once experienced?”
-if you think this is too much of a far cry from reality, keep that thought, because it’s delusional. Inbox me for a one week journal of a medical student, an intern, a resident, a newly hired attending, an established attending and one who’s had enough. This is material worth it’s weight in gold, and you can buy it here. It’s not free, because nothing you ever see again in your medical careers is ever free.

Due to customs, duties and shipping, I will not be sending out my curated medical instruments outside like of the continental US. I’m working on an idea to set up an online store which will be far more comprehensive

Wow, it’s amazing to see so much activity on this simple page.
In the event that you aren’t aware of it, there’s a “scholarship” program that will pay for the entirety of your medical education, and in exchange, you’ll be obligated to repay the government with a certain number of years working in an underserved city. At first glance, you may be repulsed at the idea, but when they say “work for at least 2 years after graduation”, that applies to your residency as well. One area that surprises people is NY. The number of hospitals closing down to be replaced by luxury homes is out of control. Beth Israel’s biggest asset is the land it sits on. In no way would they ever be able to connect with the value of the property it sits on in 20 lifetimes. Like Saint Vincent’s Hospital, it’s below 14th st, and that makes it a highly desirable piece of property. So, if you like Manhattan, check out scholarships for underserved areas. It may be your last opportunity to even live in Manhattan, as most doctors can’t even afford to live there.

DO you realize that doctors currently in practice are actually either quitting or dreaming about how they can end it. Medical school for Americans is VERY EXPENSIVE. Be 10000% sure you know what your doing.

How did I choose a residency? I bet nobody chose one like I did. I wanted to make money, not be on call, no nights ad no weekends. The added perk was you virtually sit all day, listen to your music and go to work inn your pajamas.

Give that thought.
