It is with sadness that I belatedly share news of the passing of John Kiernan, KE2UN. John was a friend, mentor, and active member of the Columbia University Amateur Radio Club VE team, regularly participating in our former in-person and, since the pandemic, zoom VE exams. He was a huge help when we rehabbed the rooftop tower many years ago. And, of course, the Marathon and other NYC events dating back decades. I got to meet Christine once at their home in the "castle" and even went out the window and up on the roof with him there -- to install an antenna of course. I miss you John. SK. End of Watch.
