After first seeing this installation at our Convocation Evensong, our 3rd graders returned to The Cathedral Church to explore Gaia, a stunning seven-meter Earth sculpture by UK artist Luke Jerram , made from detailed NASA imagery.

Standing beneath it, the 3rd graders and their teachers talked about how beautiful our Earth is and all the ways we can help take care of it.

Gaia is on view at St. John the Divine until October 8 and is included with admission. Don’t miss it!

Last week George Rudolph ‘25 and Abadi Leynse ‘24 made their way back to the Close to visit Upper School English teacher Ms. Goco. They graduated a year apart, but their friendship has only grown since their days as Cathedral students. This year marks Abadi’s third visit, and it means so much to us that they keep coming back. Sunshine, snacks, and good company! Our Parents Association recently hosted a picnic for our Upper School community, giving them the chance to unwind together outdoors as the weekend kicked off. Students tossed footballs, played catch, and relaxed in the grass with friends, soaking up the last of the late summer sun.

Thank you to our PA Co-Presidents and all members of the Parents Association for another wonderful community moment, bringing our Upper School together for an afternoon of fresh air, fun, and friendship!
