AUDITIONS

for the Fall Senior Projects
Dutchman
By Amiri Baraka
Directed by Ayasha Sampson
ACTORS needed: one white female and two black male
(There is also a possibility of an ensemble being cast)

Mary Star of the Sea
A performance piece directed by: Shamell Santana
Includes exerts from The Holy Virgin Mary of Our Time by Taylor Mac and The Annunciation by The York Play Cycle
ACTORS needed: three female and one male

The Sinful Game: Terror in Salem
A performance piece directed by: Amanda Nicole Mendez
Including characters from Arthur Miller’s The Crucible
ACTORS needed: three female and three male.
(Please note singing may be required for some roles)

Sides will be provided for you at the audition
No preparation required
Show dates are October 10 and 11

Hey Everyone, there is still some space in the Visiting Guest Artist class running this fall. Here is the info:

This particular section of DRA 271 (Performance II) is part of a new initiative sponsored by CUNY Central, which will feature three specially selected contemporary theater/dance artists:
-Branden Jacobs-Jenkins (the playwright who wrote Appropriate and An Octoroon)
-Reggie Wilson (Choreographer)
-Moises Kaufman (Tectonic Theater & The Laramie Project).

Students will have the opportunity to interact with each artist for five weeks through workshops they will provide in the classroom.

3 Plays On Love 04/22/2013

This was the Spring 2013 main stage production. It is a collection of short plays by Romulus Linney, directed by Professor Maurya Wickstrom.
