🍁 Week 4 at Star A Kidz — Fall Has Taken Over Our Classrooms and We Are HERE for It.

Four weeks into September — and our Star A Kidz classrooms are absolutely glowing with autumn energy.

Here's a Sunday recap of the best fall moments from our classrooms this week:

🍂 The moment that stopped us in our tracks:
A 4-year-old explained to her whole class why leaves change color — using words like ""chlorophyll"" and ""photosynthesis."" She learned it at Star A Kidz. In English AND Mandarin.

🎨 Most beautiful project:
Our toddlers created autumn sensory boards — pressing leaves, acorns, and dried flowers into clay. Every single one is a masterpiece. Every single one is going home to a parent who will keep it forever.

🍎 Best outdoor moment:
A group of Pre-K children found a line of ants on our playground, followed them for 20 minutes, and came back inside with questions we are STILL answering.

🎵 Song of the week:
A Mandarin autumn harvest song that our teachers can't get out of their heads — and neither can the children.

👋 7:30am — Your child arrives and is greeted by name. Before their jacket is even off, they've already chosen an activity from our carefully prepared classroom environment — because at Star A Kidz, learning starts the moment they walk in the door.

🎨 9:00am — Reggio Emilia project time. This week: autumn nature collages, block architecture challenges, and a bilingual poetry corner where children are writing their own fall poems in English AND Mandarin.

The first day of autumn is officially here — and at Star A Kidz, fall is one of our favorite seasons of the year.

🎨 Fall Art Studio — leaf rubbings, watercolor paintings in red, orange, and gold, and pressed flower arrangements

We remember the thousands of lives lost — sons, daughters, parents, neighbors.
We remember the city that came together in grief — and chose love over fear.

Care Bears Share Your Care Day is all about spreading kindness, compassion, and genuine care for the people around us.

And in our Star A Kidz classrooms? We don't have to remind our children twice.

This week alone we've witnessed:

💛 A 3-year-old who noticed a new classmate sitting alone — and brought them a book to share
🧸 A toddler who offered their favorite stuffed animal to a friend having a hard morning
🌟 A Pre-K child who remembered that their friend doesn't like loud noises — and whispered the whole art explanation so they wouldn't feel scared

Two weeks into September and we are BLOWN AWAY by our children every single day.

Here's a little Sunday recap of what classroom life has looked like this week at Star A Kidz:

💛 The moment that made us smile the most:
A toddler who cried at drop-off on Day 1 — ran through the door on Day 5 without even looking back. Their teacher was waiting with their favorite book. They went straight to the reading corner together.

🎨 Most creative project:
Our Pre-K children designed their own ""classroom museum"" — choosing their best artwork from the week, writing bilingual labels for each piece, and giving guided tours to their friends.

🔬 Best science moment:
A 3-year-old asked ""why does ice become water?"" during snack time. We spent the next hour finding out together.

🎵 Most heard song this week:
A Mandarin autumn song about falling leaves — that our children are now singing at pickup time to their parents.

🎨 This Week in Our Star A Kidz Classrooms — Reggio Emilia Learning in Full Action!

Every week in our Star A Kidz classrooms tells a story. This week's story? Pure wonder. 🌟

Here's a peek at what our little learners explored this week:

🔬 Science Station: Children investigated what sinks and floats — recording their predictions with drawings before testing them in water. No worksheets. Real science.

🎭 Drama Corner: Our Pre-K children created and performed their own bilingual mini-play — choosing their characters, writing the ""script,"" and performing it in English AND Mandarin for their classmates.

🏗️ Engineering Challenge: Toddlers were given wooden blocks, cardboard tubes, and fabric scraps — and challenged to build the tallest structure they could. The concentration on those little faces? Priceless.

🎨 Art Studio: Nature-inspired watercolor paintings — leaves, flowers, and seasonal colors pressed onto paper with care and intention. Every one is a masterpiece.

🌿 Outdoor Discovery: Children collected leaves, sorted them by color and shape, and began building our classroom's first autumn nature table.
