We integrated the rice into this week’s science exploration, where we watched how vibrations from music made the rice jump and dance! First, we put a handful of rice on a tambourine and tapped the tambourine to make the rice move:
Then we graduated to the big league. We placed our classroom speaker inside of our drum and watched with delight as the vibrations from the music made the rice go crazy like toddlers right before bedtime✨✨

Our 18-month-old friends had such a wonderful time exploring lemons using all five of their senses! 🍋 From feeling the bumpy peel and smelling the fresh citrus to tasting the sour flavor, listening as we squeezed and squished, and watching the lemon juice react with baking soda, vinegar, and green-colored water to bubble and fizz, every moment was filled with curiosity, discovery, and many, many, silly faces😝😋

Learning is at its best when little hands are free to touch, smell, taste, listen, and wonder✨✨✨
