The Cornell Real Estate Council is thrilled to share that CNBC Senior Markets Correspondent and Hotelie, Dominic Chu, will be returning as a moderator for the 44th Annual Cornell Real Estate Conference.

Prior to premiering on CNBC’s Business Day programming, Chu was a New York-based markets correspondent for Bloomberg Television, where he covered the stock, bond, currency and commodities markets. During that time, he interviewed some of the world’s top money managers and business executives.

As we prepare for the 44th Annual Cornell Real Estate Conference, we are honored to recognize Gabriel Boyar, who returns for his second consecutive year as Marketing Co-Chair.

Gabe’s commitment to the Cornell real estate community spans years of leadership and service. He has served as Conference Co-Chair twice and currently serves as a Board Member of the Cornell Real Estate Council (CREC).

Professionally, Gabe recently joined EverBank as Head of Originations for its Commercial Real Estate Finance platform. Over a career spanning more than two decades, he has originated, structured, and closed an excess of $10 billion in commercial real estate transactions.

A proud Cornell University alumnus, Gabe also holds an MS in Real Estate from NYU and a JD from Cardozo School of Law. Meet Douglas Weill, Founder and Co-Managing Partner of Hodes Weill & Associates and our Partnerships Co-Chair for the 44th Annual Cornell Real Estate Conference.

A Cornell Hotelie (‘88, BS Hotel Administration) and President of the Cornell Real Estate Council, Doug leads one of the world’s premier capital advisory firms for real estate, infrastructure, and real assets, with offices spanning New York, London, Amsterdam, Hong Kong, and Tokyo. Over nearly 30 years in the industry, he has advised on institutional private placements for more than 125 real estate private equity funds, raising over $40 billion in capital.

Conference attendees will know Doug best from his annual presentation of the Real Estate Allocations Monitor produced in collaboration with Cornell University, a global analysis drawing on 166 institutional investors across 26 countries, representing $14.7 trillion in assets under management.

Mentorship is the core of the Career Advisory Mentorship Program, but it’s only part of what our Fellows receive.

Throughout the program, CAMP pairs one-on-one mentorship with exclusive programming, such as panels and career development workshops.

On Monday, July 20, our Fellows will join us for our Executive Recruitment Panel, featuring Lisa Flicker, Sr. Managing Partner, and Glenn Skolnick, Managing Director, of Jackson Lucas, alongside Sue Austin, Career Consultant at Cornell Johnson Graduate School of Management, moderated by Cornell Real Estate Council’s CAMP Director, Chasidy Miles.

CAMP Fellows will get candid answers to the questions commonly asked by students in the recruitment cycle: how recruiters actually evaluate candidates, what makes a resume land in the “yes” pile, and how to position yourself for roles that never get posted.
