While at QC, Sujen co-founded Collabiversity and, alongside her teammate, earned national recognition in the 2023 Blackstone LaunchPad Business Ideas Competition. She graduated from Queens College in 2023 with honors, earning dual degrees in Corporate Finance and Economics.

Last Thursday, we brought the QC community together at Oasis Cafe for the QC GOLD Mixer! πŸŽ‰

From catching up with old friends to meeting new faces, our GOLD alumni, Beyond GOLD alumni, and current students came together to network and reconnect. 🀝

Our alumni also learned about campus updates from Interim President Elizabeth β€œBetsy” Field Hendrey and about upcoming events from Director of Alumni Relations Maria Hataier!

Join us for : "Friction-maxxing and Media Literacies of Persistence" with Jamie Cohen, a digital culture expert and associate professor of Media Studies at Queens College.

The internet - online content, characters, and code - is frictionless and now shapes our offline realities through culture, immersive marketing, omnipresent media. How can we best adjust our relationship with it all?

This talk builds on the idea of "friction-maxxing," meaning slowing down and finding joy in difficulty, and adds a form of media literacy called "persistence" that helps us confront and counter the frictionless commodification of chaos.
