IEP MEETING COMING UP? Don’t walk in unprepared. 👀💙

A good IEP meeting isn’t just about listening—it’s about making sure your child’s needs, progress, and goals are clearly understood.

Before your next meeting, take a few minutes to:

✅ Review the current IEP — Know what services, goals, and accommodations are already in place.
📝 Write down your concerns & priorities — What’s working? What isn’t? What would you like to see improve?
❓ Prepare your questions — Don’t be afraid to ask about progress, services, accommodations, or anything you don’t understand.

And remember: you know your child best. Your voice matters. 💙

👀 Parents, have you ever looked at your child’s IEP and wondered… “What exactly are RELATED SERVICES?”

You’re not alone. 💙

Related Services are supports that may be included in a child’s IEP to help them access and benefit from their education.

Depending on your child’s individual needs, these may include services such as:

🗣️ Speech-Language Therapy
✋ Occupational Therapy
💬 Counseling Services
📚 Specialized Instruction
🏫 School Health Services
…and other supports identified as necessary.

The important part? Every child’s needs are different. The services included in an IEP should be based on the child’s individual needs and educational goals.
