Hi all!!! Summer is almost here (at last!), and of course the CCAPP Math/Physics Tutoring Center will be open for business. As usual for a summer semester, we will be open from 12pm to 5pm Mondays to Thursdays.

Please note that we will not have Physics coverage for 3pm to 5pm on Mondays, and 12pm to 1pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

The CCAPP Math/Physics Tutoring Center will be offering FREE tutoring for Math and Physics classes starting on February 2nd.

Tutoring will be available IN-PERSON in Marshak room 403 from 12pm to 5pm Mondays to Thursdays, and from 12pm to 4pm on Fridays.

No appointment is required for in-person tutoring. Just show up and we'll help you...

If in-person tutoring doesn't work for you, a limited amount of online Zoom tutoring will be available during mornings and evenings. Online tutoring will be by appointment only - to make an appointment please log into your Navigate account.

For the Fall 2021 semester, starting Wednesday September 1st, we will be offering online (Zoom) tutoring by appointment only on Mondays to Thursdays from 9am to 6pm and Fridays from 9am to 5pm. You will need to make your tutoring appointments in Navigate.

Since students are slowly returning to campus, I am also starting to offer in-person tutoring. Initially this will just be on Wednesday afternoons between 1pm and 5pm and will be for math classes only. Sorry physicists - still online only for you. No appointments will be needed for in-person tutoring - you can just turn up at the tutoring center (Marshak room 403) and get whatever help you need. Please be aware though that space in the tutoring will be limited due to social distancing requirements.

Online tutoring for the summer will start on Wednesday, June 9th. We're moving away from Appointment Plus this semester, so please use NAVIGATE to make tutoring appointments.

SUMMER 2020 TUTORING STARTS JUNE 8th

During the summer we will have tutors available from 12:00pm to 5:00pm Mondays to Thursdays. You will not need to make an appointment in advance - whenever you are ready to speak to a tutor, just send an email to me, Andy Trafford ([email protected]), including your full name, your EMPLID, the course number, and a brief description of what you need help with. I will see which tutors are available and have someone contact you straight away.

We like to conduct tutoring sessions using GoBoard, which is a free browser-based videoconferencing tool that includes shared whiteboard functionality. This obviously works best on a PC, a MAC, or an iPad. It does not work on Android devices. If you cannot use GoBoard, we can still tutor you using Zoom, Skype, Hangouts or even just exchanged email messages.

Note: We like to be able to see you during a tutoring session - video gives us important feedback that we can't get from voice alone. So we *prefer* you to keep your camera on, but it is by no means mandatory. If you're having a bad hair day, or have any other reason not to be seen, just turn the camera off.
