Since opening its doors in 1854, Immaculate Conception School has provided its students with a holistic learning experience, helping them grow academically, spiritually, and creatively and preparing them for academic and professional achievement. Using traditional Catholic values as a guide, children learn and mature in a safe environment. Each day from 8 am to 4 pm, our students are taught by a dedicated faculty who engage their intellect and imagination. Student learning also is supported by a variety of educational resources including a fully equipped science lab, a computer lab with over 30 computers, SMARTBoards in every classroom and fully stocked library. In addition, children participate in art, music and physical education classes each week and benefit from partnerships with the New York Philharmonic and Dancing Classrooms ballroom dancing program. ICS is thrilled to be one of six Catholic schools in Harlem and the south Bronx that is part of the Partnership Schools network. With the Partnership’s support, ICS is building upon its strong Catholic school foundation. In doing so, the school is remaining faithful to what is known and loved about us and will continue to offer its students the following:
• Challenging, high achieving academic program
• Broad program including arts, music, sports, community service and technology
• Expanded after-school programming
• High school placement program

The school is also focused on strengthening its operations and finances and building partnerships with its current parents and alumni, so that it can continue to serve as a beacon of the south Bronx community for years to come.

Yesterday’s Pre-K Stepping Up Ceremony was nothing short of magical! ✨🎓 Our littlest learners walked, danced, and smiled their way across the stage, reminding us all of the joy and wonder that come with these first big milestones.

These are just a few snapshots of the celebration — our official photos from the photographer are on the way and will be shared in the next two weeks once they’ve been edited. Trust us, they’re worth the wait! 📸💙💛

📸✨Our 8th graders had an unforgettable time on their senior retreat to Governor’s Island! From powerful moments of reflection to pure joy on bike rides around the island, the day was full of meaning, laughter, and connection. 🚲💭

We watched friendships deepen, memories multiply, and the already strong bonds among this class grow even stronger. As they prepare to leave Immaculate behind, they do so with full hearts, grateful spirits, and the kind of love for one another that only comes from a community like ours. 💙💛

Brilla will be back on the Immaculate Conception campus on Tuesday 6/17/2025!

This is your second chance to pick up uniforms for the upcoming school year. This event is for two categories of families:

Brilla-bound families who were not able to make the first uniform distribution.
Brilla-bound families that came to the first uniform distribution event, but did not receive an item in their child’s size.

If you have already received two shirts and two pants from Brilla, please allow other future Brilla families the chance to pick up uniforms for their children at this event.

If you would like to exchange shirts or pants for another size, you must bring the shirts or pants you would like to exchange. There is a limit of two shirts and two pants per child.

Brilla Uniform Distribution will take place in the first floor room outside of the gym from 8:00am - 12:00pm.

We look forward to seeing you!

🎉 Today, nearly 600 guests returned home to ICS for a reunion like no other — and what a homecoming it was. 💙💛

The spirit of Immaculate Conception was alive in every hallway, every hug, and every laugh shared between old friends and beloved teachers. From the mouthwatering food to the heartwarming moments between former classmates, today reminded us all of what makes ICS more than a school — it’s a family.

✨ The joy was palpable, the memories everlasting, and the love for this sacred place unshakable.

Special shoutout to our incredible students, staff, and families who gave their Saturday to make this day possible. Your hard work and hospitality made all the difference. 💫

🎉 ICS Sneaker Ball: One Last Dance 🎉

Friday, June 6th | 3:00 - 5:00
Get ready to lace up and turn up for the very last dance at Immaculate Conception School!

• Great food
• Refreshing drinks
• Smooth music
• And the chance to celebrate with the community one last time

💵 Cost:
• $5 per student

✨ This is more than a dance—it’s a send-off, a celebration, and a memory in the making.
Don’t miss your chance to be part of ICS history.

Let’s make it count. Let’s make it fresh. Let’s make it unforgettable.
