offers art and design programs that cover a broad spectrum to benefit pre-K students, as well as those who aspire to art careers — including beginners and advanced adults. It offers disciplines for those who wish to expand their horizons and develop their talents, as well as inexperienced creative types who wish to pursue a commercial career — and especially those who seek acceptance to a university or art school. The program will offer basic drawing, cartooning, mixed media, oil and watercolor painting, digital photography and design, and portfolio preparation. Preschool art subjects will be available, as well as some new entries: Family art collaborations, digital design, digital photography, and more. Commercial career path opportunities will be offered as will applications of new technology.

An SMB Art Tradition piece that's finally done! Being dedicated has its roots when it comes to large detailed projects at our art studio. Friday's Young Portfolio student, Mary, with her acrylics on large canvas painting of New York City's very own historical landmark, the Flatiron Building circa 1902.

SMB's Young Portfolio has contributed many years of Portfolio Development for art high school acceptances such as NYC's LaGuardia, Art & Design, and local Staten Island high school art programs such as Wagner, New Dorp, and Tottenville.

SMB's Fall Art Semester 2026 begins this September 16th for beginners to advanced, ages 5 to adult. Class schedules, descriptions and additional information, and online registration can be viewed at www.smbstudioarts.com
