The MMS Annual Fund covers teacher professional development, such as the Elementary Montessori Training that teachers Lemon Chung and Katrina Morales did over this past summer. You can donate through the link in our profile.

The MMS Annual Fund allowed us to hire new staff to help us manage covid safety protocols, in addition to purchasing PPE, hand sanitizer, HEPA filters, and other items to keep the community safe.

For the month of December, all gifts will be matched, and new and increased gifts (larger than last year’s donation) will be tripled.

The MMS Annual Fund makes it possible to introduce new programming not previously planned for in the budget. One recent example is our Children’s House woodworking class, which cultivates concentration, perseverance, and creativity. “Children were taught how to use tools like hammers and saws during a 6-week program,” said teacher Maureen Aryee. “The best part was that the whole class was equally involved and excited.”

• Provide Montessori training and professional development for our faculty and staff which directly and immediately impacts the classroom.

Current families, alumni families and grandparents should have received an email from our event Co-Chairs with a link to the recording. 51 households have clocked 275 kilometers —or 170 miles,— and raised nearly $18,000 and still counting, in support of the MMS Stronger Together Fund for tuition assistance. We’ve also extended the race app through Memorial Day weekend, so if you didn’t get a chance to race, there’s still time. Just download the free Just Move app, sign-up for the race of your choosing and print your race bib. Custom audio with familiar voices will keep you motivated and cheer you on.
