Alpha Phi Zeta promotes individual growth through lasting friendships, community service, and high academic standards.

Alpha Phi Zeta is the longest- standing sorority at NYU. We are a diverse group of women who are determined to make the most of our time at NYU while creating relationships that last forever. As a local sorority, we take pride in the closeness that defines our sisterhood. The words “Alpha Phi Zeta” stand for “Sisters and Friends Forever.” (aphiz.com)

The destruction and degradation of the tropical rain forest, human activity (intense legal & illegal logging), illegal animal trade, and hunting by some of the indigenous peoples, are some of the main factors in the severe decline of wild orangutan populations. Without drastic intervention, orangutans may soon be extinct as biologically viable populations in the wild.

Tomorrow our sisters are selling baked goods in the central hallway of Lafayette from 6-8pm, so stop by, grab a snack, and donate to the cause! All donations are going toward Orangutan Foundation Internation (OFI), a nonprofit organization dedicated to the conservation of wild orangutans and their rainforest habitat.
