Gregory Bsggett and BBS supports ’s Green New Deal for Public Schools
Just imagjnevchildren in Central Harlem and across America learning in comfortable, healthy buildings, powered by rooftop solar panels, taught by well-paid teachers who aren’t overworked or hounded by their own debt. Imagine hundreds of thousands of workers with good-paying jobs building, retrofitting, and maintaining those schools. On extremely hot and cold days, people shelter in this large, safe building. The school emits zero carbon, yes, but it’s also a place where social connections and community resiliency are forged.

Green New Deal for Public Schools Campaign
We are attempting to ramp up the next campaign, the Green New Deal for Public Schools!
We'll be recruiting community members from the most challenged schools in our districts with the intent to build relationships with students, parents. teachers and trades unions.
We're mobilizing behind a Jamaal Bowman bill, the Green New Deal for public schools, which will retrofit schools in our district with green infrastructure and give financial aid to those school that receive the least funding.
The plan is to select one school in Harlem to organize, and there's the desire to organize more schools if we can meet the capacity. For obvious reasons, we won't organize any chapter school but as public schools charter schools would be eligible fit funding.
Our next step is to meet and select a school with a large population, an active parent association, and systems and infrastructure problems that impede on teaching and learning.
Thank you for your support of the Green New Deal for Public Schools. To get involved leave a message or call or text 212-470-0484
