As part of our "Who We Are" unit on the circulatory system, Year 6 have been exploring how the heart pumps blood around the body and the important role it plays in keeping us alive.❤️ Students used their inquiry and problem-solving skills to design and build working heart models, using straws and liquid to demonstrate the movement of blood. ⛑ They then tested and refined their models, making connections between their model and the function of a real heart. A great example of hands-on inquiry and learning through action!💡
