Wasn’t going to share this but after some contemplation, I decided that it’s important to let people know the value of giving back and helping others, particularly our youth, and for me, Black young men.
The following is a text my mentee recently sent me
“Hey sorry I haven’t been texting you that much ever since I moved to college I’ve honestly never been this busy before and I always got stuff going on. But I just wanted to let you know how much it meant to me for you giving me a place to stay this summer I can’t express it through words. I hope you’re doing great!”
