We just returned from the Berkshires, where we spent two beautiful summer days with members of the AICF community attending performances featuring our recipients. On Thursday, distinguished pianist and AICF grant recipient Orli Shaham conducted a fascinating workshop with Fellows of the 2024 Tanglewood Music Center. On Friday, acclaimed pianist and AICF grant recipient Yefim Bronfman performed with the Boston Symphony Orchestra in an incredible concert conducted by Andris Nelsons. Following the performance, Yefim graciously greeted us and shared his inspiring story of how he received his first AICF scholarship at age 14 and then was able to pursue his studies at Juilliard as a result of AICF. It was heartwarming to hear what the impact of AICF’s support meant to him, and we can’t wait to attend his next concert!

We were delighted to see so many members of the AICF Community join Iris Reff-Ronen, AICF CEO, at the Marlene Meyerson JCC Manhattan last night for the closing night of the Israel Film Center and the premiere of “The Milky Way”, directed by AICF recipient Maya Kenig. The evening, hosted in partnership with AICF, started off with a pre-screening reception, where our Director of Development, Lauren Eve had the chance to tell the full house about AICF and our role in supporting Israeli artists. Following the premiere of Kenig’s thought-provoking film, we were treated to a Q&A with the filmmaker, who discussed the inspiration for the film. It was a wonderful evening!
