Apple Learning in Room 2! 🍏🍎
Our little learners are having a crisp time exploring apples! As part of our home-school connection, each child brought in an apple to share and investigate.
We sorted apples by color, got creative with real apple stamping for art, and at circle time we tasted different apples and graphed our favorites!
Our apple exploration even made its way into dramatic play, where our play apples are inspiring lots of imaginative learning and fun!
So many opportunities to explore, create, taste, sort, graph, and learn through play!

A Special Mid-Autumn Moon Festival Celebration in Room 1! 🏮🌙

Today, Room 1 welcomed a very special visitor, one of our wonderful parents, who came in to introduce the children to the beautiful tradition of the Mid-Autumn Moon Festival!
The children gathered together to listen to the lovely story Thanking the Moon by Grace Lin. After the story, the fun continued as each child chose their favorite colored lantern and put it together. They then added a little light to make their lanterns shine!
The best part came when we turned off the classroom lights and watched all of the colorful lanterns glow. The children’s faces lit up with excitement and wonder, it was truly a priceless moment!
A big thank-you to our special visitor for sharing this meaningful tradition with us and helping make today such a memorable learning experience. We had so much fun learning, creating, and celebrating together! 💛🏮🌙

The children in Room 3 are beginning to settle into their new school environment and are becoming increasingly comfortable with the daily routines. They are exploring the different areas of the classroom with growing confidence and curiosity. As they become more familiar with their surroundings, they are also beginning to build trusting relationships with their teachers.
The transition from home to school is a significant step for young children, and each child is progressing at their own pace. We are gently supporting them as they begin to separate from their grown-ups, offering reassurance, comfort, and consistent care. Gradually, the children are becoming more confident in saying goodbye and are learning that their grown-ups will return. It has been lovely to see them beginning to feel safe, secure, and connected within the classroom.

Welcome Back, IPS! 🎉

What better way to kick off the school year than with our annual Welcome Picnic?!
This year was extra special as we proudly introduced the newest member of the IPS family, our mascot, Flips! 💙 And let’s just say… Flips was an instant hit!
We loved seeing so many of our students, families, teachers, and alumni come together for an afternoon filled with music, pizza, laughter, and lots of Flips fun!
Thank you to everyone who came out and helped make our Welcome Picnic such a memorable celebration. Here’s to a fantastic year ahead! 💙

The children in Room 2 are settling into their school routines more and more each day! They are becoming comfortable in the classroom and enjoying opportunities to engage in play, participate in specialty classes, and have fun during gym.
The children are also learning to sit and participate during circle time and are becoming familiar with our daily classroom schedule. We are so proud of the progress they are making as they build confidence, independence, and a sense of belonging in their new classroom. It has been wonderful watching them grow and settle in!

Although it is only the first weeks of school, the children in Room 6 are already deeply engaged in meaningful play and exploration. From constructing large-scale block structures to designing dresses with silk scarves, the children have been collaborating, using their imaginations, and discovering the possibilities within their new classroom environment.
The children began their monthly self-portrait study, which encouraged them to observe and reflect on the unique features that make each individual special. As they become increasingly comfortable with their new routines and surroundings, we have been reading stories that support the transition to school, including The Invisible String, How Do Dinosaurs Go to School?, First Day Jitters, and All the Ways to Be Smart.
We are off to a wonderful start in Room 6! We look forward to continuing to nurture the children’s ideas, creativity, relationships, and curiosity as we explore and learn together in the weeks ahead.

What a fun beginning to a fantastic year in Room 7!
Our children are enjoying their first days of school and settling into their new classroom environment with lots of smiles, curiosity, and excitement! They are busy getting to know their teachers and classmates, building new friendships, and becoming familiar with their daily routines.
The children have been exploring all areas of the classroom and discovering new ways to play, learn, and create together. From hands-on activities to imaginative adventures, there is always something exciting happening in Room 7!
Dramatic play has quickly become a favorite! The children are using their imaginations, taking on different roles, creating stories, and working together as they turn their ideas into playful experiences. It has been wonderful to watch their creativity and confidence shine as they engage in meaningful pretend play.
We are so excited to see the friendships, independence, creativity, and love of learning that will continue to grow throughout the school year!

Room 4 is off to a wonderful start!

Our children have been settling beautifully into their classroom routines and are quickly becoming comfortable with their new school environment. They have had the opportunity to meet all of their specialty teachers and are beginning to discover all the exciting experiences that their school days have to offer.
Each day, the children are getting to know their teachers and new friends while building friendships, practicing classroom routines, and developing a sense of belonging within their classroom community.
Our little learners have been busy exploring the classroom, discovering new materials, engaging in imaginative play, and participating in a variety of hands-on learning experiences. It has been wonderful to see their curiosity, excitement, and growing confidence as they explore, play, and learn together!
We are so proud of how well Room 4 is settling in and look forward to all the fun, friendships, discoveries, and learning that the year ahead will bring!

Room 1 is off to a wonderful start!

Our children have been settling beautifully into their new school routine and are becoming more comfortable and confident with each passing day. They have been busy getting to know their teachers, classmates, and classroom environment while learning what makes each day at school so special.
The children have also had the opportunity to meet their specialty teachers and explore new experiences, including gym. They have transitioned wonderfully between activities and are becoming familiar with the flow of their daily schedule. From enjoying snack and lunchtime together to participating in classroom activities and movement experiences, the children are embracing each part of their day with enthusiasm!
It has been wonderful to see their happy faces each morning as they arrive at school, ready to learn, play, explore, and make new connections. They are showing such excitement and curiosity as they participate in activities and discover new things each day.
We are so proud of how well Room 1 has adjusted to their new routines, and we are looking forward to watching their confidence, friendships, and independence continue to grow throughout the year!

We were delighted to welcome so many of our preschool families to our Parent Orientation!
It was a wonderful opportunity to connect with parents, answer questions, and help everyone feel prepared and confident as we begin a new school year together.
During the orientation, families learned more about our school handbook, phase-in schedule, classroom routines, and what to expect during the first days of school. We also shared important information to help make the transition into the school year as smooth and positive as possible for both children and families.
We know that starting preschool is an exciting milestone, and we are committed to creating a warm, supportive, and nurturing environment where every child can feel safe, welcomed, and ready to learn.

Thank you to all of our families for taking the time to join us and for partnering with us as we begin this new school year. We are so excited for all the learning, friendships, growth, and joyful moments ahead!
