With FAFSA issues, SATs making their big return, and one of the largest applicant pools in recent history, it definitely wasn’t an easy admissions cycle. Let’s hope for smoother sailing for our rising seniors.

I’ve always wondered if this would actually work to make admissions directors impartial to race. Race is so much more than just those boxes you check on your application.
✔️your name can be racially indicative
✔️your skin tone (if you get to do an interview) can indicate race
✔️you might want to discuss race in your personal essay

Be wary of any school promising their campus will be open, the same way you should be wary of any admissions consult who can promise you will get into “x” school.

This is a photo of ME: senior year, decision day, signing my decision letter. I remember crying for an hour, afraid that I was making the wrong choice.

I’ll tell you what I wish someone had told me this day 12 years ago: this decision will not define you. If you end up LOVING the school you decide on today...GREAT! If not...that’s what the transfer process is for.

You all put your heart and soul into these applications and now it’s time for you to just ENJOY the rewards of that effort.
