Metropolitan Learning Institute The LPN program was approved in early 2008 and the first classes began in June of that year in Jersey City, NJ.

Metropolitan Learning Institute offers thorough career training in both computer software, utilizing the latest computer technological advances for business applications, and in preparing practical nurses/other allied health specialists. Faced with the challenging need for the education of health care professionals in the field of practical nursing, MLI initiated planning for a Practical Nursing P

rogram in the state of New Jersey in July, 2005. The main campus of Metropolitan Learning Institute is now in Rego Park, Queens. The school has a present population of 550 students overall with a predicted potential growth of 700-800 students within the next few years. Licensed by the New York State Education Department, MLI’s New York locations provide Computer Office Technology training to a mostly immigrant student population with emphasis on English as a Second Language (ESL) instruction. Additional courses such as Medical Billing, Bookkeeping, and Legal Office Technology, all with ESL components, have been added to this core curriculum.
