Xavier students participated in the Jesuit East province's We Choose These, Our Brothers program on June 13th. Here is the beautiful video following that day's ordinations, including Fr. John Pignone, SJ who shared three years with us here at Xavier.

It’s been years since we’ve had a Senior Silent Retreat. But this week, a group of graduating seniors spent three days in prayerful silence - journaling, napping, praying, reflecting, wondering what to do with their time, and generally being bewildered by the passage of time. All good things for young men who have worked so hard for four years.

Support our work!

During , we’re highlighting everything that makes Xavier great.

“Campus Ministry at Xavier seeks to engage all of our students in their faith journey, wherever they are. Whether it's through retreats, reconciliation, daily mass, service, working for justice, or just hanging out in the Campus Ministry offices, talking about things sacred and mundane, it is our hope that each student can point to moments of grace. The work of Campus Ministry is really the work of all of us here at Xavier, where as a Catholic and Jesuit school, we form young men who will lead with integrity, act justly in the service of others, deepen their relationship with God, and go forth to transform the world for God's greater glory. We all labor together so that our students see that they are deeply loved by the God who created them exactly as they are.

When students step into an experience of service, of learning from and being with people on the margins, it can alter their understanding of the world and their place in it. By recognizing the inherent dignity in each human being, we're all more deeply aware that we are more alike than different. That can happen as far away as the U.S./Mexico border and as close to home as serving a meal in Hurtado Hall to the homeless and hungry on Sunday's Welcome Table.” - Director of Campus Ministry Kaija Dewitt-Allen
