We had a chance to witness a great event with lots of great talks in Baltic urban planning scene at MadCity Riga. But most of all we were proud to participate!!!! Matīss Šteinerts from Karvas projekts was talking on measuring impact of large public events on city cores.

Take a look at the statistics of traffic violence in European streets. What do you think about it?
In 2019 22.800 people died in European traffic. We are used to hear the characteristics of the victims. But now the European Commission shows who is killing who. This brings us much closer to real systemic solutions.

Why pedestrians should stop at the crossing and push that button to cross the street? In order to calm the traffic it should be drivers instead. It can be done with sensors too, but constant pedestrian light should be a norm!
