There’s nothing quite like those first week back to school smiles 😁😁😁😁
We experienced pure JOY this week having kiddos back in our building for the 2026-2027 school year! Student orientation week was all about getting to know our classroom communities, practicing routines, team building activities, sharing about ourselves and learning about one another 💙
One week down, many more to go, and we can’t wait to see how Brooklyn RISE students learn, grow, and thrive this school year 🤩

Twas the night before the first day of school…
Bulletin boards were hung with care 🤗
Teachers had been back for three weeks to prepare 🤓
Desks were arranged with name labels and supplies ✏️
And excitement was building for tomorrow’s sunrise ☀️
The hallways are quiet, the classrooms are ready,
Backpacks are packed and alarms are set steady 🎒⏰
Tomorrow our Roosters will walk through the door,
Ready to learn, grow, and soar! 🐓💙
We’ve been waiting all summer for this moment to arrive,
Here’s to a new school year at Brooklyn RISE! 🎉📚

This goes out to our amazing Brooklyn RISE 5th Grade graduating Class of 2026 🤩
On June 12th we celebrated this amazing group of kiddos and all they have accomplished during their elementary education. They began Kindergarten in Fall of 2020 amidst the ongoing global COVID pandemic - they (and their families and teachers!!) truly know what resilience, flexibility, and unrelenting optimism in the face of immense challenge looks and feels like. We are beyond proud and feel incredibly lucky to have watched them grow and learn over the last six years - and will be excited to have many of them back for 6th grade at RISE next year! 💙

This Tuesday goes out to our AMAZING 6th and 7th Grade students who finished taking their ELA State Exams today!! 💪💪💪
What is sweeter than celebrating all their hard work and success!?? Last week we decorated and dip-dyed our state test t-shirts, had a visit from an ice cream truck, and a school wide pep rally 🥳🍦
Swipe to the end to the see the grand opening of “Cafe in the Middle”, a space for students to unwind with friends after testing, and an excerpt from a poem written for our students by our amazing Middle School ELA teacher Ms. Ross! 🥹
Our kiddos are the best and we are so proud of them! 💙

Our kiddos truly do shine like diamonds 🤩🤩🤩
Our 6th and 7th grade jazz band had the opportunity to perform at today and they did such an amazing job!! Most of them have only been playing their instruments since September and they have worked so hard individually and together to prepare for their first performance 🎺🎷🎹🥁🎸
Thank you to for being such an incredible organization and partner - we have loved seeing our kiddos become jazz musicians under your instruction! 🙏💙
