A.M.A. Family Daycare

A.M.A. Family Daycare Family Daycare is licensed to provide care for up twelve children under the age of 5 and four children ages 6 to 12. The A.M.A.

program is varied in order to promote the educational, social, cultural, emotional and recreational development appropriate to the ages and development levels for all the children. We don’t use a specific curriculum because to A.M.A. the children are the curriculum. We are there to guide them and help them find their own individuality through exploration and play. The program while still providing

a daily schedule will also provide the children with experiences that are designed to influence a positive concept of self, recognizing others and Family. Each child will be provided with a sufficient quantity and variety of materials and play equipment appropriate to the age and developmental level of the child. Materials and play equipment may include books, paints, crayons, safety scissors, paper, blocks, puzzles, toys, games, balls, riding toys, puppets, dress up and our outdoor playground. We have daily weather permitting supervised outdoor play which help master their social and gross motor skills. AMA Family Daycare will provide a well-balanced breakfast, lunch, light supper and snacks. Food and nutrition are important to every child’s development and we emphasizes fresh and natural foods (organic when available) such as fresh fruits and vegetables, homemade soups, wheat grains ect. Parents are to supply formula for infants until the child is 12 months old or can safety eat regularly scheduled meals. If a child has a special dietary need, A.M.A. Family Daycare must be informed and given a doctors’ note of medical evaluation. In that event substitute meals can be brought from home. AMA Family Daycare works with parents during potty training. It is a hard
and long experience for both child and parents, we will work with you but not for
you! If there is a method you use at home, please inform us and we will adopt it. We will get through it together! Family Daycare providers are licensed and registered with the Department of Health. All registered providers and assistants are required to get fingerprinted and complete at least 30 hours of training every two years.
