The ELT program, generously supported by Child’s Dream, was a meaningful milestone for CCDO as we welcomed their team on-site to observe our work in primary schools. Over five months, twelve teachers were coached by our trainers, and the progress was truly encouraging. It was clear that they had embraced new strategies and were creating more positive, engaging learning environments in their classrooms.

In the afternoons, the team also observed our trainers, Ms. Sopheak and Ms. Sombon, leading sessions filled with interactive activities and games. The energy and enthusiasm from the trainees reflected just how impactful and enjoyable the learning process had become.

300 dedicated teachers from the districts of Varin and Svay Leu in Siem Reap just completed a meaningful learning visit to Prasat Banteay Srei and Sot Nikum districts where with guidance from inspiring ELT alumni, they gained practical insights into classroom management, language use, and engaging teaching methods. Grateful for the shared knowledge—and excited to see these lessons come alive in their own classrooms!

A heartfelt shout-out to our faithful supporter Sandra Horowitz, who recently made her 30th donation over 15 years—a wonderful $1,000 gift bringing her total support to an incredible $30,000. A mighty number with a mighty impact!

Sandra says, “I have supported CCDO for many years, first contributing to the construction of latrines… CCDO expanded into building and maintaining schools and libraries, assuring the funds went directly to the people in need. This charity has operated with integrity and consistency with Jenni at the helm.”

We are equally grateful to Goldfield Foundation for expanding their support from WASH projects into Education, with an additional $25,000 grant.

Another Global Grant for school toilet blocks has been secured in collaboration with Rotary Club of Sentosa and Rotary International. This brings the total number of toilet blocks built in rural schools to 54 over the past few years.

For many of these students, who do not have toilets at home, having access to one at school is a privilege often taken for granted. Each facility is thoughtfully designed and, most impressively, consistently kept clean and well maintained by the students themselves.

CCDO is proud to partner with Anamay, a social enterprise producing all-natural, eco-friendly, artisanal soaps made in Cambodia. Founded by high schooler Phasukar Phan, Anamay was inspired by her firsthand experience of the lack of sanitation facilities in rural communities.

“What began as a passion project—making homemade soaps to donate—has grown into a business to create greater impact,” Phasukar shares.

All profits from Anamay’s soaps and hygiene kits go directly toward building toilets in underserved communities. To date, they have already funded four toilets—an incredible achievement and a meaningful step toward improving sanitation and dignity for those in need.

Wow ! We are so grateful to the organization Uniforms for Hope!!
1,000 children received uniform and shoes donation by them. We are eternally grateful to Maureen Maloof and her organization Uniforms for Hope as they generously donated $10,000 to purchase these uniforms. This is the fourth year that Uniforms for Hope has donated to the CCDO. The uniforms and shoes were donated to the most needy students from 30 primary schools in three districts (Varin, Svay Leu, and Angkor Thom) in the Siem Reap Province. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts !!
