Titmouse’s annual celebration of animation, 5 SECOND DAY.... NIGHT!!! returns for its 20th anniversary with a screening at SVA Theatre on Friday 3/27 at 7:30PM. Buckle up for an uncensored night of animated anarchy!
To celebrate the 20th anniversary, a selection of Titmouse’s favorite, most fearless cartoons from the event’s past two decades will be included in the screening.

Saturday 9/20 at 7:30PM — SVA’s FREE After School Special festival features the first post-Tribeca Festival screening of “Raoul’s, A New York Story” about the iconic Soho restaurant, Raoul’s. The documentary is co-directed by SVA alum Greg Olliver and the restaurant’s owner, Karim Raoul, both of whom will be appearing live for a Q&A after the film. Saturday 9/20 at 2:00PM — SVA’s FREE After School Special festival features the hit, Emmy-nominated Adult Swim animated series “Common Side Effects”, co-created by SVA alum Joe Bennett, who will be appearing live for a Q&A after the film alongside editor Joie Lim (also an SVA alum!). The series’ first three episodes will be preceded by the cinematic premiere of a new music video featuring AI generative art by alum Stephen Jablonsky. Thursday 9/18 at 7:30PM — SVA’s FREE After School Special festival features the NYC premiere of the incredible freediving documentary about Jessea Lu, “7 Beats Per Minute”, directed by SVA alum Yuqi Kang, who will be appearing live for a Q&A after the film. The feature will be preceded by short films that incorporate AI generative art by SVA alums Song Lu and Fan Yu, the artistic forces behind OHuo Studio. Wed 9/17 at 7:30PM — Opening night of SVA’s FREE After School Special festival features the incredibly relevant documentary about insulin costs in the U.S., “Pay or Die”, co-directed by SVA alum Scott Alexander Ruderman and Rachael Dyer, who will be appearing live for a Q&A after the film. The film will be preceded by the award-winning short documentary “The Hemingway”, a humorous, intimate snapshot of co-director and SVA alum Patrick Sean O’Brien, who lives with ALS. The film has played several festivals, including Slamdance, and we’re pleased to say this screening will mark its NYC premiere!
