One on One Foreign Language Learning Program This page is about the One-on-One Foreign Language Learning Program (COF) offered at Teachers College, Columbia University.

The Chinese Tutoring Program is offered by the Center for International Foreign Language Teacher Education (CIFLTE) at Teachers College, Columbia University. The program provides one-on-one tutoring to help learners develop communicative skills in Mandarin Chinese. The instructors are outstanding graduates or student teachers from the Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages (TCSOL) Certificate Program at Teachers College, Columbia University. The instructions are customized to individual learners’ needs and can take place in person, online, or both. The progression of the tutoring sessions will be facilitated and supervised by the TCSOL Program faculty. Attendees will receive a Certificate of Completion issued by the TCSOL Program, upon successful completion of the program.

CIFLTE Online Foreign Language Learning (COF) offers state-of-the-art learning of foreign languages primarily online.

The main language offered is Chinese taught by Chinese instructors who are trained in cutting-edge, foreign language teaching methodology, at the Center for International Foreign Language Teacher Education (CIFLTE) at Teachers College, Columbia University.

Other languages offered include English, Italian, German, Japanese, French, and Spanish. If you wish to learn any other language(s) not listed here. Other languages offered in the past include Hebrew, Urdu, and Arabic.

Online Chinese Learning Spring Enrollment Open at TC, Columbia University!

Our CIFLTE Online Foreign Language Learning Program provides online one-on-one or mini-group second language learning programs for Mandarin. All our teachers are trained in second language acquisition. Our enrollment is now open for the 2024 Spring Module. CIFLTE at TC can issue a Certificate of Completion upon request.
